Overlooking the Baroque church of Campo San Moisè and just two minutes from St. Mark’s Square, this famous contemporary styled deluxe five-star hotel encompasses the true atmosphere of Venice. The 91 luxurious guest rooms and 18 suites have been renovated in modern meets classic style, featuring state of the art facilities perfectly blended into an old-world atmosphere. When the weather allows, buffet breakfast and evening cocktails are served on the Bauer Terrace, with spectacular views of the Grand Canal and the famous Chiesa della Salute.

The hotel offers a variety of newly-renovated meeting and function rooms that include 2 boardrooms for up to 12 attendees. Ideal for business conferences and private parties in Venice, the meeting rooms can be configured to a variety of settings for up to 110 guests. The hotel’s gourmet restaurant, De Pisis, with its terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, is much more than a hotel restaurant: it is a destination for people of discerning taste and palate. The inside room, decorated in Venetian style, recreates the charming and intimate atmosphere of past times, surrounded by a pleasant air of kindness and competence. In an exclusive setting, Chef Giovanni Ciresa offers an original cuisine based on international cooking and enriched by local Mediterranean traditions.

The B-Bar welcomes you every Wednesday and Thursday for the aperitif hour from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. During summertime enjoy the bar's splendid Grand Canal terrace, overlooking the canal and Chiesa della Salute. Live music in the evening.

The Bar Gran Canale is the ideal setting for a pre-lunch aperitif or an after-dinner drink, with an inviting choice of creative light cuisine.

Room information

Completely renovated and quiet rooms and suites with courtyard-, side canal- or street-view. Individually styled décor and furnishings, with a mix of contemporary or classic Venetian design. Facilities include fine Italian marble bathroom, individually controlled air-conditioning, satellite TV.

Area information

The hotel is located in the heart of Venice, two minutes walking distance from St Mark's Square. The closest point to the hotel that is reachable by car (and the only place in Venice where you can drive) is Piazzale Roma. Its priviledged location sits within a few hundred metres from landmarks such as Doges Palace, La Fenice Theatre, the Guggenheim Museum, the Rialto Bridge, St Giorgio's Bell Tower, to name only a few. Additionally, the Concierge can organise private water transfers with a hostess.

The location was perfect

We had bookec breakfast, which we skipped on the first morning however on the second morning we went down for breakfast and there was an enormous que which we were not prepared to stand in considering this was a 5 star hotel, this should not happen. We then went out and had to spend £40 on breakfast.

We stayed in an extention to the Bauer hotel that is the Casanova, one of the best hotels in Venice. very convenient location from main attraction site ( 3 min walking from San Marco area) 3 min walking for the waterbus stop and it has it's water deck for water Taxi. Very convenient for family and buisness use. high standard hotel (that's why it's quite expensive ).
